Man City to make summer swoop for Liverpool Superstar

Manchester City are reportedly preparing a surprise bid for one of Liverpool's most influential players during the current season.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Uruguayan international Luis Suarez is considered as a top transfer target for the Citizens in the summer, despite the player having signed a new long-term deal at the Merseyside outfit.

 

The report also adds that City's sporting director Txiki Beriguistain has already had preliminary talks with Suarez regarding the transfer, with Alvaro Negredo likely to make way to fit the former Ajax star in the club's ranks.

 

Man City are currently 4th in the Premier League standings, six points adrift of league leaders Chelsea with three games in hand.
