Chelsea ready to spend big in the summer
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is willing to spend a pretty penny to bring in the players that he needs for next season. After losing to Crystal Palace in the league, many have concluded that the Blues' title challenge could be grinding to a halt.
Mourinho is now actively seeking new players in preparation for the 2014/15 campaign and has told the press that he has money to spend on top talent.
"We do what we can. We don’t do what we can’t. We’re not going to do it by selling the best players," quipped the former Real Madrid manager. "We want to keep the best players we have and the structure we’re trying to build.
"Part of the evolution is based on stability and part is about bringing players in the transfer window like we did in January and what we’re going to try and do in the summer. It’s evolution based on stability."
