Chelsea to offer David Luiz in swap deal for Bayern star

Chelsea are reportedly open to offering Brazilian defender David Luiz in a swap deal to secure the services of Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic this summer.

The Blues boss Jose Mourinho is believed to be keen on signing a top-class striker this summer, with the likes of Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto'o all set to leave the West London club.

 

According to German daily Bild, the Blues are closing in on a deal for Atleti star Diego Costa, and now ready to offer David Luiz in exchange for Croatian international Mario Mandzukic in the summer.

 

Mandzukic's future at the Allianz Arena is in doubt, with Borussia Dortmund star Robert Lewandowski due to join up with the Bavarian giants when the transfer window reopens.
