Mehdi Benatia talks up Chelsea move

Roma centre defender Mehdi Benatia has talked up a potential move to Chelsea. The 27-year-old, long a target for Man Utd, has seemingly told Italian reporters that he favours a move to Stamford Bridge.

The defender, who has recently been in excellent form and has thus attracted the interest of numerous sides across Europe, has flourished under Rudi Garcia in Italy and is now weighing up a move to the Premier League.

With Chelsea having sold centre back David Luiz to PSG and Kurt Zouma heading out on loan, the Blues have apparently made Benatia their first choice replacement.
