Liverpool plot move for Romelu Lukaku

Liverpool are reportedly preparing a summer offer for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, according to The Express.

The Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is understood to be keen on covering up the loss of star striker Luis Suarez, as the club embark on Champions League football next season.

The Express reports that the Merseyside giants could offer as escape route to Romelu Lukaku, who has failed to convince manager Jose Mourinho of his abilities.

In addition to this, the Reds are on the cusp of sealing a deal for fellow Belgian forward Divock Origi in the next few days.

Lukaku scored 16 goals in 33 appearances for Everton on loan last season.
