Calum Chambers to Arsenal a done deal
BBC Sport have confirmed that Arsenal will unveil Calum Chambers as their new signing on Monday morning, with the England Under-19 international set to leave Southampton for a fee of around 16 million pounds.
This follows Sunday's announcement that centre-back Dejan Lovren has joined Liverpool in a £20 million deal and the players' exodus from Saints continues to haunt the team management.
Chambers has joined the likes of Dejan Lovren, Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Luke Shaw, Guly do Prado and manager Mauricio Pochettino on the list of those who have left the club.
Arsène Wenger will take his summer spending past the £50 million mark this week after announcing moves for the £3.2 million Colombia goalkeeper David Ospina and £16 million Southampton player Calum Chambers.
They will join the £32 million Chile forward Alexis Sanchez, signed from Barcelona, and Newcastle’s £12 million defender Mathieu Debuchy at the Emirates.
