Tottenham Hotspur to step up pursuit for PSV star

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly readying a summer bid of around £15m to seal the services of PSV Eindhoven forward Memphis Depay.

The Netherlands international has been the subject of transfer speculation ever since his return from the World Cup finals in Brazil, where he scored twice in three group games.

Manchester United were believed to be interested in the talented star, with former Dutch coach Louis van Gaal at the helm of things at Old Trafford.

However, Goal.com suggests that Spurs are mulling over a £15m bid for the Eredivisie youngster, who is said to be keen on a switch to the English top tier.
