Former Gunner poised to join Wolfsburg

Former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is closing in on a switch to Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg, according to his agent.
Bendtner was released by the Gunners following a 10-year stint at the club, and reports suggested that he could make a swift return to the Premier League with Aston Villa.
However, his agent Tom Brookes has revealed that talks are going on with Wolfsburg over the prospective deal.
"It's correct, we are negotiating with Wolfsburg," He said.
Bendtner had been used sparingly in the Gunners line-up last season, with Olivier Giroud and Yaya Sanogo preferred ahead of him in the pecking order by manager Arsene Wenger.
