Mathieu Debuchy to miss three months of action
Arsenal right defender Mathieu Debuchy will be out of action for three months after Arsene Wenger today confirmed that his fellow countryman had undergone surgery on his injured ankle.
Even though the Gunners will be happy that they have Calum Chambers as a backup, Arsenal fans are sure to be disappointed that their new signing Debuchy will be out of action and joins Olivier Giroud on the sidelines.
"He has had surgery and will be out for three months," Wenger told Arsenal's official website.
"A reasonable delay is three months. It all went well, but it can be a week or two earlier or a week or two later, but it will be around three months."
Debuchy hurt his ankle in the 2-2 draw against Man City in the Premier League earlier in the month.
