Liverpool to bid for Podolski?

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is reportedly weighing up a transfer move for Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski.The German World Cup winning striker is ready to quit the Emirates after failing to dislodge the likes of Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck from the Gunners' first team.

Podolski is looking to stay in the Premier League, though, and had contacted his agent to see what options there might be. According to reports, Liverpool are now favourites to sign the player in January and are considering a loan deal if Arsenal are unwilling to sell the striker on a permanent deal.
