Jewell unworried by form
Derby boss Paul Jewell has called on his side to pull out all of the stops in order to help win their Premiership game this weekend and into the New Year. Jewell pointed to Reading's defeat of Liverpool for motivation for his side.
"I think the squad is better than it has probably shown. If there's anything we can take out of it (the season so far) it's that we can beat Newcastle.
"Yes we were at home but it can be done, any team can be beaten on their day.
"Liverpool lost to Reading last week so anything can happen in football."
"It's easy for me to sit and say just go and play without any fear but they play as human beings, they have been battered and bruised this year so far.
"We have to start shaking off the shackles and start creating chances, putting balls in the box and giving our strikers something to feed on."
