Javier Hernandez on Saints radar

Southampton could make a summer move for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, according to a report,

Chicharito failed to convince Louis van Gaal of his abilities last summer, and was shipped out to Real Madrid on loan for the season.

However, he has since struggled for game-time at Los Blancos, and is expected to return to Old Trafford once his loan spell comes to a close.

According to The Mail, the Mexican international is still considered surplus to requirements at the Mancunian giants.

In addition to this, the Saints are willing to offer defender Nathaniel Clyne for a reduced fee of just £20m, should Hernandez act as make-weight in the prospective deal.
