Chelsea close in on £30M STAR

Chelsea are closing in on their first summer signing, according to reports.

The Premier League champions are in the search for a new striker this summer, following the departure of Didier Drogba.

Reports in Italy claim that Blues boss Jose Mourinho is eager to bring Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain to Stamford Bridge, as he seeks to provide competition to the likes of Loic Remy and Diego Costa for the centre-forward role.

Higuain has yet to agree a new deal at Naples, and he could be on sale for an asking price of around £30m in the upcoming transfer window.

The Argentine striker has scored 51 goals in 98 goals for Napoli since his move from Real Madrid in 2013.
