Stevan Gerrard urges Sterling stay

Legendary midfielder Steven Gerrard believes winger Raheem Sterling still has much to offer to Liverpool.

Sterling is keen on leaving the Merseyside this summer, having seen the club fail to clinch a Champions League place.

However, Gerrard believes that the talented winger should buy his time at Anfield, as he has the potential to be the club's best player in years to come.

Sterling was subject to boos during England's no score draw against Republic of Ireland at Aviva Stadium.
