Arsenal to make shock swoop for Angel di Maria?

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing up Manchester United winger Angel di Maria, according to a report.

United have been reluctant to sell their top players to Premier League rivals in recent years, but this all changed last season as Louis van Gaal opted to allow Danny Welbeck make a move to the Emirates.

Bayern Munich have been recently linked with a move for the Argentina international, with the Bavarian giants open to offering the likes of Arjen Robben and Thomas Muller as part of an exchange deal.

However, the Mail cites that the Gunners are prepared to make a move for the former Real star, so long as it fits with their financial situation.

Arsenal have already signed up Chelsea star Petr Cech during the summer transfer window.
