Leicester City plot Rickie Lambert move

Leicester City will look to make an offer for Liverpool outcast Rickie Lambert this summer, according to reports.

The England international is surplus to requirements at the Reds, following the arrivals of the likes of Roberto Firmino, Danny Ings and Christian Benteke to Anfield this summer.

According to The Mirror, Crystal Palace have joined Tony Pulis' side in the chase for Lambert's signature.

It is added that Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri believes that Lambert could be the perfect fit for the striker's role next season, as they aim to preserve their Premier League status.

Lambert scored just two goals in 25 games for Liverpool last term.
