Bournemouth bid for Glenn Murray

Premier League newcomers Bournemouth have made a official bid for Crystal Palace striker Glenn Murray.

The 31-year-old has been tipped to leave the Eagles this summer, in spite of manager Alan Pardew ruling out the player's exit.

According to Sky Sports News, the Cherries have put a formal offer for the experienced frontman, who was in top form for the Eagles in the back end of last season.

Cherries boss Eddie Howe has recently rebuffed claims over a move for Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe.
