Arsenal to announce Karim Benzema arrival?

Arsenal will confirm the signing of French striker Karim Benzema from Real Madrid next week, according to reports.

The France international is regarded as the Gunners' top target for the transfer window.

According to Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli, the Gunners have agreed on a club-record fee for Benzema, and a deal could be completed once the Frenchman undergoes a medical scheduled on Tuesday.

"Imminent closing for Benzema to Arsenal: Tuesday could be the day of medicals and announcement." he tweeted.

Benzema scored 22 goals in all competitions for Real Madrid last term.
