21-year-old Luca Cigarini currently plays for Parma and has established himself in the first-team. Cigarini has been linked with a host of clubs including Juventus and Milan, all of whom are chasing the player dubbed "the new Andrea Pirlo".
Cigarini is a current member of the Italy Under-21 set-up and has represented his country at every youth level from Under-18 upwards.
Rising through the ranks at Parma alongside Daniele Dessena, the player has continued to impress and Roberto Donadoni has often admitted that the player could have a future in the Italian first team.
Cigarini has played on the same teams as Giuseppe Rossi, Arturo Lupoli, as well as Daniele Dessena.
Very similar in style of play to Milan star Andrea Pirlo, Cigarini displays a wealth of talent including superb passing and excellent awareness on the ball. The player has brilliant vision and it is easy to understand why many already value him at more than £7 million.
The 21-year-old is a deep-lying playmaker, who orchestrates the play from in front of the defence.
The player only recently signed a new 5-year deal at Parma last summer, which may keep the player at the club for the forseeable future.
The 5 foot 9 midfielder is still developing in terms of physical abilities, and will need to work on his strength if he is to really progress into a world class player.
In fact, Cigarini's agent Giovanni Bia has confessed several big clubs are already chasing his client: âLuca has received many offers, including Inter, Fiorentina and Juventus.
âWith all due respect to Fiorentina, when clubs like the aforementioned duo come knocking it is hard to say no.â
However, Parma's chairman Tomasso Ghirardi has refused any speculation his player could leave: "I like Cigarini, so therefore he will stay with Parma. The market? We may sell, if someone is unhappy and wants to leave."
One thing is for sure, a move to a big club will not be too far away.
