Man Utd join race for William Carvalho

Manchester United are in the race to sign talented Portuguese international midfielder William Carvalho. The Sporting Lisbon star has also attracted the interest of Arsenal.

The Gunners were rumoured to be in pole position to sign the coveted starlet but now it appears Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal will enter the race to sign Carvalho. The prized youngster has been linked with numerous top European clubs, with Arsenal desperate to sign him as a replacement for injured Francis Coquelin.
