Jordan Henderson, Daniel Sturridge out of West Ham trip
Liverpool duo Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge will play no part in Saturday's Premier League encounter against West Ham United.
The England pairing have been left out of the Reds' squad to face the Hammers in the early afternoon kick-off at Upton Park.
It had been recently suggested that Sturridge could feature in his side's first game of the New Year, but manager Jurgen Klopp has thought otherwise and left him out completely.
Belgian international Christian Benteke is likely to the lead the line for the Reds with fellow countrymate Divock Origi sidelined for three weeks with a hamstring injury.
Club-captain Henderson has been rested following complaints over a heel problem sustained at Sunderland.
