Sadio Mane to undergo Liverpool medical

Sadio Mane is set to have a series of medical tests with Liverpool after they finalized a transfer fee with Southampton. 

The Senegalese winger has been tipped to seek a bigger challenge over the summer following his exploits in the Premier League that saw his side finish sixth last term.

According to BBC Sport, the Reds have settled on a £30m sum for the 24-year-old, and the move will go once the player has a medical and accepts terms over a long-term contract.

Mane was previously on the radar of Manchester United before manager Jose Mourinho switched his interest elsewhere.

The move is likely to see the sale of Belgian striker Christian Benteke, who failed to live up to his expectations in his debut campaign at Merseyside.
