Liverpool join Georginio Wijnaldum hunt
Liverpool are mulling over a summer approach for Newcastle United attacker Georginio Wijnaldum. The Dutchman has stated his desire to leave the Magpies after they were relegated to their second tier of English football.
The 26-year-old was impressive in his debut English season last term netting 11 goals in 38 outings.
A report from The Mirror says the Reds are considering an offer for the Netherlands international with manager Jurgen Klopp looking to add one more attacking recruit to his squad.
Klopp has been busy in the transfer market this summer with the likes of Joel Matip, Loris Karius, and Sadio Mane making their way to the famous old club.
Newcastle United currently rate Wijnaldum at £25m, which is about £10m more than they paid to recruit him from PSV Eindhoven last year.
