Liverpool ready bid for Georginio Wijnaldum
Liverpool are prepared to lodge a concrete offer to sign Newcastle United attacker Georginio Wijnaldum. The Netherlands international is willing to switch clubs this summer after the Magpies were relegated to the Championship.
The Magpies are currently holding out on a £27m for the Dutchman, who has been linked with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Everton.
According to The Telegraph, the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is desperate to get his hands on the player before his side's pre-season tour of the United States.
It is added that the club will table a fee in the region of £20m to test the Magpies' resolve in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the Reds seem to have stalled in their pursuit for Udinese playmaker Piotr Zielinski.
Wijnaldum netted 11 goals and five assists for the Tynesiders following his move from PSV Eindhoven last summer.
