West Ham make loan offer for Chelsea defender Baba Rahman
West Ham manager Slaven Bilic is hoping that a deal to sign defender Baba Rahman can be wrapped up in time for the new season. The Hammers are looking to sign Chelsea's defender as a replacement for long term injury victim Aaron Cresswell.
According to reports, West Brom have already had a bid for Baba Rahman rejected and the Hammers are confident Chelsea will accept their offer as West Ham are ready to offer cash as part of a deal to bring Rahman in temporarily.
Rahman has struggled since his arrival at Stamford Bridge and has been unable to force his way into Chelsea's squad on a regular basis.
New manager Antonio Conte has reportedly told Rahman that he can leave the Blues on a short term deal but with a view to bring him back to Chelsea as a regular first team footballer.
