Liverpool to bid for Jonas Hector
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants to end his transfer business with a move for Cologne full-back Jonas Hector. The 26-year-old impressed for Germany at this summer's European championships.
The Reds are currently on the look out for a new left-back after Brad Smith was shipped to Bournemouth on a £6m deal.
Italian transfer expert Emanuele Giulianelli says Klopp is keen on recruiting Hector in the transfer window as he is not convinced with the abilities of Alberto Moreno whilst Jon Flanagan is off on loan to Burnley.
Cologne value their asset at £22m, and this is well within the Reds' range, who are in surplus on their transfer budget.
A formal bid will be made in the next 24 hours as Klopp seeks to integrate the player to his squad as quickly as possible.
Hector has appeared in over 125 games for the Bundesliga outfit since his debut in 2012.
