Januzaj attitude raised questions for Mourinho

The youngster is not the best trainer apparently

Adnan Januzaj’s attitude in training has been cited as the main reason why José Mourinho considers him surplus to requirements at Old Trafford this season, according to reports.

Journalist Duncan Castles, who is known to have contacts within Mourinho’s camp, has reported that the new Manchester United manager has decided that Januzaj will not figure in his plans for the upcoming season based on the Belgian winger’s “relaxed” attitude in training.

Mourinho is renowned for demanding a high level of intensity from his players on the training field, and apparently Januzaj does not conform to the former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager’s way of doing things.

Januzaj is believed to have been made available for loan this summer, with Sunderland leading the chase for his signature.

Recent reports have suggested that the 21-year-old would prefer a permanent move away from Old Trafford, after feeling humiliated by being forced to train with the reserve team.

But United are not willing to let a player of his undoubted talent leave just yet, for fear that he will develop into a top player for another club, much like Paul Pogba did with Juventus, before United shelled out a world record £89 million fee to re-sign the Frenchman this week.

Januzaj will be reunited with David Moyes at the Stadium of Light. The Scottish manager gave the youngster his debut back in 2013.
