West Ham to bid for Wilfried Bony
West Ham United are preparing a potential bid for Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony. The Hammers were dealt a huge blow this week after record signing Andre Ayew was ruled out for four months with a thigh injury.
Ayew suffered the setback in the first-half of the Hammers' opening game against Chelsea, and this leaves the injury-prone Andy Carroll as the sole option upfront.
Pep Guardiola has opted to omit Wilfried Bony from his Champions League squad this season, and there are suggestions he could be offloaded before the transfer deadline.
The Ivory Coast international has struggled to display his top game ever since his move from Swansea City in 2015. League rivals Arsenal and Everton have been previously credited with interest for the £30m-rated marksman.
