Sunderland eye late swoop for Pogba
Sunderland are apparently weighing up a late approach for Saint-Etienne defender Florentin Pogba. The 26-year-old is the older sibling of Manchester United ace and France international Paul Pogba.
According to TalkSPORT, the Black Cats find themselves in a transfer tussle on deadline day with newcomers Hull City also keen on the centre-half.
The Wearside outfit were earlier hopeful of keeping hold of Lamine Kone amid interest from Everton, but it now seems the departure of Younes Kaboul has urged them to recruit a new central defender.
Summer signing Papy Djilobodji has accompanied Kone in the heart of the defence in recent games after Kaboul opted to join Watford due to personal reasons.
On-loan Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj is thought to have a close contact with Florentin's more famed brother Paul, and this could play a role in luring the defender to the Stadium of Light.
Saint-Etienne will accept offers in excess of £6.5m for their asset.
