Mustafi suffers injury scare

Arsenal's summer signing Shkodran Mustafi seems to have picked up a minor injury just 24 hours after his move to the Emirates. The 24-year-old was seen clutching his ankle in the second half of Germany's 2-0 friendly over Finland.

According to The Sun, the centre-half halted the game in the second half after he was found on the floor asking for medical attention.

The game which was Bastian Schweinsteiger's final ever in the German colors, may have brought a bitter end to Mustafi, who continued gingerly after the incident.

Mustafi joined the Gunners from Spanish side Valencia for £35m on Tuesday just after the arrival of Deportivo La Coruna forward Lucas Perez.

He is expected to feature alongside Laurent Koscielny in the heart of the defence, but the imminent injury could well put his Gunners' debut on hold.
