Llorente wanted at Arsenal

Arsenal are keen on sealing a summer move for Real Madrid youngster Marcos Llorente. The Spaniard is currently featuring for Alaves on a season-long loan from the European champions.

Llorente, 21, has been in impressive form for the Spanish minnows this term, and this has captured interest from Arsene Wenger's side.

Spanish source Don Balon says the Gunners will lodge a bid for the central midfielder next summer with a view to offering him with a regular stint in the first-team.

Llorente had made the headlines last month after Real looked to retain him to replace the injured Casemiro. But, with the lack of recall clause in his contract, Alaves were by means letting the player go until the end of the campaign.

Nevertheless, the Spaniard would be a back-up option, should the Spanish giants be up to full strength, and this is something the Gunners will look to take advantage of as they seek to bring yet another Spanish talent to the Emirates.

Fellow Spaniard Santi Cazorla has yet to pen a contract extension at Arsenal, and signs are Llorente could be the player to replace the veteran next season.
