Man Utd quoted hefty price for Ligue 1 full-back
AS Monaco have reportedly slapped a €40m price tag on Brazilian defender Fabinho. The 22-year-old was strongly tipped to join Manchester United in the summer but a deal failed to materialize.
United boss Jose Mourinho is expected to move for a new right-back in the New Year with Matteo Darmian set to part ways with the club.
Inter Milan have already approached to sign the Italian on loan, and it only remains for the clubs to settle on a future fee for his sale.
Sources in France suggest the Mancunian giants will have a tough time getting their hands on Fabinho after Monaco placed a hefty €40m valuation on his head.
United were initially looking to negotiate a €25m sum for Fabinho, but with the Principality outfit having upped their price, they may explore their options elsewhere.
Everton ace Seamus Coleman has recently emerged as a target for Manchester United in the January transfer window.
