Pochettino laughs off Aguero rumours

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino was in a smiling mood when questioned on his side's ongoing pursuit of Sergio Aguero.

The North London outfit were reported to be keeping tabs on the Manchester City striker after he was benched for the Champions League clash at Barcelona.

Pep Guardiola had later clarified that it was a tactical decision to leave the player out, but the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have since been credited with interest for the marksman.

When asked on Spurs' link with Aguero, Pochettino was reduced to laughter as he insisted that the rumours were false.

"Not true, 100 percent not true," he told reporters.

Tottenham will look to maintain their unbeaten streak to the new campaign when they host champions Leicester City in the league on Saturday.
