Luke Shaw edging towards Man Utd exit

Manchester United full-back Luke Shaw could reportedly pursue a move to league rivals Liverpool following a rift with manager Jose Mourinho.

The England international was criticised by the Special One last weekend after he refused to take part in the 3-1 win at Swansea City, where he was carrying a minor niggle.

According to The Mirror, the £29-rated defender could be off to Anfield in the New Year with Jurgen Klopp seeking competition to makeshift left-back James Milner.

Milner has taken up the left-back duties for ongoing campaign, but Klopp is still aware of the need for a new recruit, with Alberto Moreno being inconsistent with his performances.

Shaw, who missed a major chunk of last season with a double leg break, has appeared in seven league games for Manchester United this term.
