Reece Oxford nears West Ham extension
Young sensation Reece Oxford is reportedly prepared to commit his future to West Ham United on a new long-term contract. The England Under-20 international has barely featured for the Hammers this term.
Oxford, 17, has been in a contract standoff at the London Stadium in recent months with manager Slaven Bilic reluctant to offer him a starting role.
According to The Sun, the teenager has resolved his problems with the club's hierarchy and is set to put pen to paper on a fresh five-year contract.
Oxford, who can play at either centre-back or holding midfield, has agreed to extend his stay at the East London outfit after he was promised to be involved in the ongoing campaign.
The youngster has captured interest from the likes of Arsenal, and Manchester City over the past year, but the Hammers have managed to convince their asset to stay put at the club.
Oxford has managed 14 senior appearances for West Ham United since making his debut in a 2-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates last season.
