Everton to move for Alan Dragoev?
Everton are weighing up a potential bid for CSKA Moscow midfielder Alan Dragoev in January. The Russia international has been long linked with a move to the Premier League with Arsenal and Manchester United being his previous admirers.
According to The Liverpool Echo, the Toffees have began negotiations with the player's representatives after club director of football Steve Walsh was spotted watching the player in action against Tottenham Hotspur last week.
Dragoev, 26, netted the sole goal in his side's 3-1 Champions League defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, and this is said to have impressed Walsh, who is on the search for potential recruits.
Toffees boss Ronald Koeman has sidelined Ross Barkley from the starting line-up in recent games, and believes that Dragoev could be ideal competitor for the England international in the future.
Dragoev, who was once dubbed 'the Russian Wilshere', is also on the radar of West Ham United.
