Antonio Conte confirms Oscar exit
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has literally confirmed that Oscar will be leaving Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window. The Brazil international is set to join Shanghai SIPG, managed by former Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas.
The Premier League leaders are said to have agreed on a £50m sum for the transfer after the midfielder agreed to end his association for a bumper £400,000-a-week salary in the Far East.
Prior to the Crystal Palace clash, Conte insisted that a player must always show his passion for the game above money, but he wished Oscar good luck for the fresh challenge in his career.
The 25-year-old is one among the many Brazilian footballers which include Hulk, Ramires and Paulinho to have been tempted by the mega-rich league.
Apart from Oscar, the likes of Cesc Fabregas and John Terry are being linked with potential moves to China in the January transfer window.
Oscar has netted 38 goals in more than 200 appearances for Chelsea since arriving from Internacional four years ago.
