Lallana To Get New Contract

Lallana will extend his stay at Anfield

Liverpool attacking midfielder Adam Lallana is in advanced talks with the club over a new four year deal, that will see him earn £150,000 a week, The Mail reports.

The former Southampton man has seen his performances improve massively since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp at Anfield, and Liverpool bosses are willing to reward that form with an improved deal.

28 year old Lallana has made 22 appearances in the Premier League so far this season, scoring seven goals, and also assisting seven goals.

The new four year deal will secure the services of the creative player, which comes shortly after the successful contract extensions of Phillipe Coutinho and Joe Gomez, as Klopp looks to keep hold of the talent that he has at the club, before strengthening in the summer.

However, some fans are not too sure about the deal, with Lallana being 33 years old when the contract expires, a lot of money to be paying a player at that age some say.

The uncertainty has been added to somewhat following Liverpool's refusal to pay transfer target Julian Draxler's request of £170,000 a week, but now offering £150,000 a week to Lallana.

There is no doubt that Lallana has bags of ability, and he will be desperate to prove to the Anfield faithful that he is worthy of that new contract.
