Zlatan to Napoli?

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has admitted that he has a huge liking for Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The former Sweden international was yearning for a move to Naples in June last year, but unfortunately, the club were not in a position to sign him until Gonzalo Higuain was sold out to Juventus later in the transfer window.

Since then, the 35-year-old has fluorished in his spell at Old Trafford where he has notched 20 goals across all competitions, and manager Jose Mourinho is eager to extend his stay until at least the summer of 2018.

Zlatan currently has a 12-month option on his current deal, and it is said that he will hold discussions with Mourinho over the weekend before deciding to stay for another season.

While speaking to Football Italia, Laurentiis admitted that he would love to sign the big Swede - currently plying his trade at United with the possibility of offering him a backroom role in the future.

Agent Mino Raiola recently hinted that his client also wanted to join Napoli, and a call from the Serie A club could be hard to refuse for the veteran marksman.
