Jose Mourinho open to Luke Shaw stay
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho insists that Luke Shaw's position at Old Trafford is safe despite his limited playing time this season.
The England international has earned a solitary start since the end of November, and this has led to suggestions he could swap United for a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
However, prior to the Blackburn Rovers clash, the Special One admitted that Shaw will not be forced out of the club, and he will be given the opportunity to prove himself just as Anthony Martial and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Mkhitaryan was largely ignored by Mourinho at the start of the campaign before he cemented himself as a regular prior during the festive period.
Meantime, Martial has been in-and-out of the starting lineup, but his recent outings against Watford and Saint-Etienne have done enough to convince Mourinho of his abilities.
Shaw is due to earn his chance amid United's cluster of fixtures, and it could be a make or break for his career depending on his showing.
