Jose Mourinho wants £30m-rated Arsenal star
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is reported to be lining up a £30m approach for Arsenal's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The England international has been in-and-out of the starting lineup this season, and this has created uncertainty over his future.
According to The Express, Mourinho is weighing up a potential move for Oxlade-Chamberlain in the summer as he seeks to add more options to his squad.
The Red Devils had offloaded both Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin over the winter period, and this has reduced the midfield depth.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is comfortable playing at either the wings or central midfield, and the Special One sees him as the ideal player to fit into his plans.
Nevertheless, United are unlikely to get the attacker on a cash deal unless they offer Chris Smalling as part of an agreement for the former Saints graduate.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has turned out 182 times for Arsenal since arriving at the Emirates as a 17-year-old in 2011. He currently has less than 16 months left on his existing contract.
