Everton set sights on signing Jordan Pickford
Everton are reportedly mulling over an approach for Sunderland shot-stopper Jordan Pickford. The Toffees are expected to go on a spending spree this summer as they seek to progress further in the league.
Ronald Koeman's side are currently just six points adrift of the top-four, and though, there is still a realistic chance of Champions League football, next season could judge their progress.
According to The Liverpool Echo, the Toffees could lodge an approach for Pickford this summer with Koeman keen to recruit a keeper who could feature for the long-term.
Maarten Stekelenburg was bought to reinforce the goalkeeping position last summer, but an injury during the festive period has seen Joel Robles impress and keep his place.
Suggestions were Everton could sign a new goalkeeper in January, but Robles' form convinced Koeman to hold his decision until the summer.
Everton face a tough task of maintaining their nine-match unbeaten winning streak when they visit White Hart Lane to take on Tottenham Hotspur.
