Besiktas eyeing Cesc Fabregas move?
Turkish giants Besiktas are understood to be lining a summer approach for Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas, a report from Aksam claims.
The Spain international had largely played second fiddle to the likes of Nemanja Matic and N'Golo Kante in the first half of the campaign, and this led to doubts over his Stamford Bridge future.
In spite of this, Fabregas decided to stay put beyond the winter transfer window, and this has paid dividends with the playmaker earning a regular role under Antonio Conte over the past month.
Galatasaray were recently rumoured to be planning a swoop for the midfielder, but according to Aksam, Besiktas appear to be in the front seat after club president Fikret Orman met up with Chelsea officials to discuss the potential move.
Fabregas has managed to net four goals in 20 outings for the Premier League leaders despite being an outsider at the start of the season.
The former Arsenal man has previously iterated that he is prepared to commit his future to the Blues, but the lack of regular football will have a major bearing on his national place ahead of next summer's World Cup.
