Arsenal open contract talks with midfielder
Arsenal are prepared to discuss a suitable contract extension with midfielder Jack Wilshere following his injury-free stint at Bournemouth this season.
The England international joined the Cherries on a season-long loan at the start of the campaign after manager Arsene Wenger was reluctant to promise him regular first-team action owing to his recurring fitness issues.
Eddie Howe's side have since managed to get the best out of the playmaker during the season with Wilshere having started in 19 of the 24 league games he has taken part in.
According to The Mirror, the north London giants are willing to sit and discuss a fresh contract with the 25-year-old with his existing deal due to expire in 15 months' time.
Wilshere has previously insisted that he is unsure where his future will lie come the end of the season, but the Gunners' hierarchy are open to a potential extension as they see him as part of their long-term plans.
The Stevenage-born ace has been recently linked with a move to London rivals West Ham United, who could be prepared to match his £30m valuation.
