Agent lifts lid on Arda Turan's future at Barcelona
Reported Arsenal target Arda Turan is unlikely to leave Barcelona during the upcoming transfer window, agent Ahmet Bulut has revealed.
The Turkey international has largely played a backup role in the forward department with the likes of Neymar, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi virtually guaranteed their positions upfront unless there is an injury or suspension.
Despite this, Turan has managed to notch 13 goals during the ongoing campaign, and this had recently seen him being linked with a move to English giants Arsenal.
However, his representative has poured cold water over the speculation by suggesting that the 30-year-old will remain with the Catalan club beyond the current campaign.
"Arda is going to continue at Barcelona. He has no other plans and he is very happy there," Bulut is quoted as saying on AS.
Turan joined the Spanish champions from Atletico Madrid for £24m in the summer of 2014 but had to wait until the start of 2015 for his first-team debut due to their transfer embargo.
