West Ham must buy Chelsea striker outright
West Ham United will have to come with a straight cash offer if they are to pursue Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi in the summer.
The Belgium international has had a frustrating stint with the west London giants this season after having failed to make a single league start since his Marseille move last summer.
According to The Mirror, the Hammers are eager to wrap up a summer deal for the talented marksman, but they will have to propose a permanent contract to secure his services.
Batshuayi linked up with the west London giants for a £33m sum last year, and the Hammers will have to cough up a similar fee in order to recruit the Belgian footballer.
Batshuayi has largely featured in the Cup games for the Blues this season with Antonio Conte opting to utilize the services of Diego Costa upfront in the Premier League.
The former Marseille man has netted a solitary league goal in 17 substitute appearances for Chelsea this season.
