Marko Grujic to feature more for Liverpool next term
Marko Grujic will earn more first-team opportunities under Jurgen Klopp from next season, according to the midfielder's representative.
The Serbia international became Klopp's first signing back in January 2016 but was loaned out to ex-club Red Star Belgrade for the season.
Grujic arrived at Anfield last summer with a view to establishing himself as a regular, but he has since appeared in just eight outings while failing to start a single league game.
The youngster has been linked with a potential loan move to one of Dinamo Zagreb or Hamburg this summer, but his agent insists that the playmaker will stay put with the Merseyside outfit.
"There is mutual trust, Klopp values Grujic and expects him to be part of the team next season," Zoran Stojadinovic said on HotSport.
"Grujic's hard work in training and fine performances show plenty of promise, while his playing time would have been more significant hadn't it been for the injuries."
Grujic has managed to overcome his troubling hamstring injury in recent weeks, and he came on as a substitute in the 4-0 rout of West Ham United at the London Stadium last Sunday.
Liverpool are currently in pole position to achieve the final Champions League spot, and a win over relegated Middlesbrough will assure them of a place in the premier competition without having to rely on Arsenal's result versus Everton.
