Arda Turan has agreed to join the Gunners in the summer but Arsenal have yet to agree on a transfer fee with Barcelona.

New Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has already expressed his desire to implement changes at the club as soon as possible, starting with the sales of up to nine players in the squad, with Turan topping that list.

Arsenal have since stepped up their pursuit of the Turkish midfielder and according to Metro, he has already agreed to join the Gunners in the summer.

Turan has not enjoyed his time at the Camp Nou since his highly anticipated move from Atletico Madrid. He was brought in to succeed the aging Andres Iniesta but has not been able to get a consistent starting eleven spot. The Turkish international has only appeared 55 times in two seasons for Barcelona, scoring 15 goals.

Barcelona are holding out for at least £26 million for the midfielder but Arsenal will hope to get him for a lower price, given Turan's potentially extravagant wage demands.
