Costa on Milan radar?

Cash-rich AC Milan are prepared to open their chequebooks to lure Diego Costa from Stamford Bridge in the summer, reputed journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims.

Th Spain international had been the subject of a world-record £95m club from Tianjin Quanjian last winter, but the Blues snubbed their advances as they felt the striker had a huge role to play in their title pursuit.

Costa eventually bagged 20 goals during the Premier League campaign as Antonio Conte's won their second English crown in three seasons - the first under the Italian head coach.

The Brazilian-born has since suggested that he would leave Chelsea for only one club in Atletico Madrid, but this opportunity has been cancelled out for the summer with Atleti failing to overturn their transfer ban.

With Atleti no longer an option, Costa could be urged to consider a new challenge, and Di Marzio cites that the Rossoneri could lodge an enquiry for the marksman.

Milan have also showed their spending might in the transfer market by recruiting Mateo Musacchio and Franck Kessie, and they are now in the pursuit of a world-class, who could turn them into title challengers.
