Arsenal fail with bid for ex-Chelsea winger
Arsenal are reported to have failed to an approach to sign Juventus winger Juan Cuadrado this summer.
The attacker joined the Old Lady on a permanent basis last month after the Turin-based club triggered a clause which turned his loan deal from Chelsea into a permanent one.
Cuadrado has earned the chance to impress under Max Allegri in recent seasons with 84 appearances for Juventus to date including one in the Champions League, where he was sent off coming on as a second-half substitute
According to The Sun, the Serie A holders have rebuffed an offer of around £17.6m from Arsenal, a similar sum they paid to recruit him from Chelsea last month.
The Gunners are in the desperate search for attackers with Alexis Sanchez eyeing a summer exit, and it appears that Cuadrado has been brought onto the club's radar despite his limited Premier League experience.
Juventus are among the top sides keen on wrapping up a deal for Sanchez, and Arsene Wenger's side could possibly discuss a part-exchange move with Cuadrado acting as makeweight.
Cuadrado largely struggled to make an impact with Chelsea and was restricted to just four league starts under then boss Jose Mourinho.
